Berserk Manga Chapter 316 follows Schierke and Isidro as they discover that the island’s villagers have been transformed into tentacled monsters. Schierke explains that Isma survived because the charm left by her mother protects her from evil. Meanwhile, Guts continues his brutal rampage under the Berserker Armor, unable to distinguish friends from enemies. When Casca runs toward a mysterious flame-like creature, Guts saves her from a deadly sea slug. As he stares at Casca, the familiar flame-creature reaches toward his chest, offering a possible path back from the Beast of Darkness.
